We provide state-of-the-arts diagnosis and therapy for patients with gastrointestinal malignancies and breast cancers as well as various diseases and disorders amenable to surgical intervention. Full range of intervention from technically demanding extended surgery to minimally invasive surgery is available, but always with special emphasis on QOL after surgery. We also perform chemotherapy for patients with various advanced malignant diseases with metastases. Palliative care for terminally ill patients with cancer to improve the physical and psychological aspects of the patients is another important task in our section. We educate the basis of general surgery and oncology to our dental students since dentistry is one part of surgery.
